TeeKay Commissions
I accept two to three commission requests per year. I work with clients that connect with my style, are wanting an artwork that conveys a special meaning, and trust me to create a visual interpretation meeting all their desires.
I do not take on commission works if they:
Are an exact replication of a photograph
Are an interpretation of another artist’s work.
Incorporate violent imagery
Do not align with my values
A brief overview of my process:
1. Client discussions to obtain information regarding:
Design concepts and desired meanings to be portrayed / integrated into the artwork.
Discerning appropriate medium(s), and size of the artwork.
Agreeing upon an appropriate timeframe for completion.
2. Delivery of two concept sketches within 2 weeks*
*Additional concept sketches can be produced at additional cost.
3. Commencement of final piece [50% deposit required]
Cost depends on size of artwork, medium(s) used, complexity of design and number of portraits included.
Sharing progress shots of the artwork periodically [ if desired by client.]
4. Delivery of final artwork
Framing in upcycled or restored vintage frame is available (if desired). It facilitates circular waste management, provides an affordable alternative and ensures your print is thoughtfully and properly framed in a one of a kind, hand restored wooden frame.
